At Tansy Aster, we believe in customer empowerment. After a decade of helping solopreneurs and organizations with brand development, content creation, and digital marketing, we’ve learned a few things along the way and we want to pass that knowledge on to our clients. It’s exciting to develop a logo and pick out the colors that represent your business. How many of us have spent hours staring at paint sample cards only to realize we have no idea what we want? A lime green accent wall might sound awesome, in theory, but will it work with that red couch you will never, ever get rid of?  Then there is all the prep you need to do. Why is a brand strategy important? 

When you’re starting a business, you might think – oh, I need a logo and a website. You’d be right. Those are important parts of your brand, and they are a lot of fun to build (okay, we might be a little biased on that one). But your brand is about your audience, how your business makes them feel. Before you hire a designer to whip up a logo of a dancing carrot in a pirate costume, you’ll want to know why a dancing carrot is right for your audience. If you’re an up and coming neurologist looking to gain the trust of new patients, a dancing carrot might send the wrong message.

Then there is everything beyond the logo. What messaging might resonate most with your audience? What should the user experience of your website be like? Which social media platforms might work best? We recommend a solid brand strategy or what we like to call — a compelling story — before spending your hard-earned money on brand assets.

In that time, we’ve served a variety organizations and industries and developed a deep understanding of what is required to engage with audiences.
